Homemade Energy Bars

Hello my friends! How you doin'?
One more little post for today. A very quick recipe I made with my apricot jam!
Bars is a full of energy meal and  a terrific option for athletes or for students as well. So they given me energy for my daily study and they are a healthy snack for my boys [my brother and Harry].
Oh I said study -I have good news for me!- Just one more lesson separates me from the end of the exam period and summer!!!
------

Ingredients:
1-1/2 cup Flour
1-1/2 cup Oats
1 cup Packed Brown Sugar
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1-3/4 stick Salted Butte [cut into pieces]
1 jar Apricot Jam

Preheat your oven to 180 °C (350 degree Fahrenheit).

In a large bowl combine all the ingredients except the jam.
Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of the pan, and spread the apricot preserves on top. Then sprinkle the rest of the oat mixture over the preserves and pat lightly.

Bake for 30–40 minutes or until the bars are lightly browned.
Allow them to cool completely before cutting!

------

Try it and Bon appétit!

  2. Hello Katerina,
Just stumbled over from 'aprons and birds' (stumbling can be a very good thing!)
As soon as I can find the time, I will be making these energy bars, and the potato salad, and the veggie patties.
Not only great recipes, but beautiful photos as well.
    Following you from Norway
